Since 1994 we have been offering our services to the residents of the Amberg-Sulzbach region, well as to patients who come from further afield. We are an outpatient and inpatient surgical practice clinic whose surgical focus is on the following clinical pictures: Inguinal hernia, femoral hernia, umbilical hernia, incisional hernia, hallux valgus (bunion of big toe), hammertoes, carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s disease, fast finger, ganglion (ganglion), hemorrhoids, anal fissure and anal fistula diseases. Treatment of work, school, sports and recreational accidents at any time.

Operational focus
of the MVZ
Surgical procedures on the hands are the domain of outpatient surgery. They can almost always be performed under local or regional anesthesia (arm only). The person operated on is not bedridden and has little pain to fear after the procedure.
Treating complaints or diseases of the foot and ankle optimally and in line with the latest scientific advances is our mission. Dr. med. Michael Scherer is an expert in this field and has achieved national renown.
A hernia is a hernia of the intestines caused by a weak spot in the abdominal wall. Intestines can leak out through this, resulting in a sac-like bulge. A hernia can usually only be treated by surgery, which we can perform in most cases on an outpatient basis.
Proctology or coloproctology is a medical sub-specialty dealing with diseases of the rectum and the anal canal. After completing the prescribed further training (WO of April 24, 2004) and passing the examination before an expert committee of the Bavarian Medical Association, Dr. med. Michael Scherer was awarded the additional title of proctology in April 2006.
